Payment Options

Faith First Healthcare – Michigan

At Faith First Healthcare – Michigan, we’re committed to offering flexible, reliable payment options that meet the needs of both clients and caregivers. We are currently enrolled in the Michigan Medicaid Home Help Program through CHAMPS and also accept private pay clients.

Accepted Payment Methods

1. Michigan Medicaid (CHAMPS – Home Help Program)

 

 

We are approved to provide non-medical home care through the Michigan Home Help Program for Medicaid beneficiaries.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

 

  • You must be a Medicaid recipient in Michigan.

  • A needs assessment must be completed by a DHS caseworker.

  • Your caseworker must authorize hours for services.

  • Your selected caregiver (whether someone you know or one of ours) must be registered in the CHAMPS system.

 

 

Note: Faith First Healthcare does not assist with CHAMPS or Medicaid applications, but we can refer you to resources to get started.

 

 

 

2. Private Pay

 

 

We also accept private-pay clients across Michigan who prefer to pay for services directly.

 

Accepted Payment Methods:

 

  • Credit/Debit Card

  • ACH Bank Transfer

  • Zelle

  • Cashier’s Check or Money Order

 

 

Personal checks are not accepted.

 

 

 

 

Private Pay Retainer & Refund Policy

 

 

We require a retainer before beginning services for all private-pay clients. This ensures caregiver scheduling and protects against loss of income for caregivers in the event of last-minute cancellations.

 

 

 

Payment Terms

 

 

  • Services are billed weekly or monthly in advance, based on the care plan.

  • A retainer is required prior to service start. This retainer is not a deposit, but a commitment to the scheduled care.

 

 

 

 

Refund Policy

 

 

  • No refunds are issued for services that have already been provided.

  • Refunds for unused service days may be considered based on:

     

    • Whether services were terminated with at least 2 weeks’ notice

    • Whether the caregiver can be reassigned quickly

    • Circumstances such as:

       

      • Death of the client

      • Hospitalization or medical emergency

      • Unresolved issues with the caregiver or agency

       

     

 

 

If services are ended without notice, Faith First Healthcare may retain the retainer to cover lost caregiver wages. This policy helps protect the income and job security of our caregivers.
