1. What services do you provide in Michigan?

 

 

Faith First Healthcare offers non-medical home care services in Michigan, including:

 

  • Companion Care

  • Homemaker Services (light cleaning, laundry, meal prep)

  • Medication Reminders

  • Errands & Grocery Shopping

  • Mobility Assistance

  • Safety Monitoring

 

 

Note: We do not provide personal care (bathing, toileting, hands-on ADLs) in Michigan at this time.

 

 

 

2. Are your services covered by insurance?

 

 

Yes! We accept:

 

  • Michigan Medicaid Home Help Program (CHAMPS-approved)

  • Private Pay (credit/debit, Zelle, ACH)

  • Long-Term Care Insurance (if applicable – verify with your provider)

 

 

 

 

3. How do I apply for Medicaid Home Help in Michigan?

 

 

To qualify:

 

  1. You must already have Medicaid.

  2. Contact your local Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) office to schedule an assessment.

  3. You or your caregiver must be enrolled in the CHAMPS system.

 

 

Note: Faith First Healthcare does not assist with CHAMPS registration or Medicaid enrollment. Please contact MDHHS directly for help.

 

 

 

4. Can I choose my own caregiver?

 

 

Yes! Michigan’s Home Help Program allows you to choose a friend or family member as your paid caregiver—if they register through CHAMPS. You can also choose from our trained and background-checked caregivers.

 

 

 

5. Do you offer 24/7 care?

 

 

Yes. We offer flexible care schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on your needs and eligibility.

 

 

 

6. Are your caregivers trained and background-checked?

 

 

Yes. All our caregivers:

 

  • Pass a background check

  • Complete initial orientation

  • Receive ongoing training and supervision

 

 

We prioritize safety, compassion, and professionalism in every home.

 

 

 

7. What’s the difference between medical and non-medical home care?

 

 

Non-medical care helps with daily living and household support. We do not provide skilled medical services like injections, wound care, or therapy.

If you need medical home health, we can refer you to a trusted partner.

 

 

 

8. What areas do you serve in Michigan?

 

 

We serve clients throughout:

We’ll schedule an intake and match you with a caregiver once funding and eligibility are confirmed.

 

 

 

10. Is Faith First Healthcare licensed in Michigan?

 

 

Michigan does not currently require a license for non-medical home care agencies.

We operate in full compliance with Medicaid (CHAMPS) and state regulations.

 

 

 

11. How do I apply for a caregiver job in Michigan?

 

 

To apply:

  • Requirements include:

     

    • 18+ years of age

    • Clean background check

    • CHAMPS registration

     

 

 

 

 

12. Do you help with daily chores like laundry and cooking?

 

 

Yes! Our homemaker and companion care services include:

 

  • Cooking simple meals

  • Light laundry and tidying

  • Grocery shopping

  • Household errands

 

 

 

 

13. Do you offer a referral program?

 

 

Yes! You may be eligible for a referral bonus if you refer:

 

  • A new caregiver applicant

  • A new client who starts services
